Welcome to Deb’s Fabrics. I am a Moda Specialist believing that if I use the best fabrics then it will help me get the best results. I have one of the largest collections of Grunge in the country. Have a look at the lovely fabrics and if you need any help or advice just email or ring.

About Moda

Moda Fabrics leads the way with innovative fabrics designed in-house and by many of the industry’s most popular designers and creative talents. Moda has been distributing and manufacturing fabric since 1975 and is a respected and well regarded brand both for its range and also the colour palette available across its collections.

About us

I have always loved fabric, stroked it, sewn with it and hoarded it. My Mum and her Mum were both avid seamstresses also making soft furnishings etc.

On leaving school I went to Art College to study Textiles Fashion and Embroidery and my love of this has stayed with me throughout my adult life.

I didn’t pursue this as a career but have used art and design both at work and as a pastime for many years.

In 2017 I decided I was fed up of having to travel long distances to see and buy my favourite fabrics, there was a definite shortage of Moda in my area. I asked around all my sewing and quilting contacts and they shared this view saying there were some stockists but with limited ranges and only a couple stocking the Grunge range that a lot of us wanted to use.

This led to me deciding to set up Deb’s Fabrics to take Moda to the quilters, textile artists and sewing enthusiasts at group meetings, shows, and pop up shops in my part of the country.

I love meeting the people that use my fabric and seeing their fabulous work, in early 2020 all this fun was suspended by the Covid 19 pandemic, and the ‘lockdown’ gave me the impetus to go ‘online’

I still make lots of fabric art, quilts, bags pictures etc, draw and paint, and make time to be creative.

On our page you will find links to Moda Inspiration, free patterns, sew alongs etc. Have fun
